If you are not lucky enough to live in the Rocky Mountains, you have to get here.  The options to enter Colorado are not infinite, but there are many alternatives, depending on where you live.  For example, if coming from SW Missouri, SE Kansas, or NW Arkansas, you may want to see the Kansas attraction Brutus.  I had no idea strip mining in the corner of Kansas was so important.

Coming across the panhandle of Texas provides many miles of open scenery.  But if you pay attention, you may find an attraction like the Cadillac Ranch.

If arriving over Memorial Day weekend, you can attend the Rally at Red River where the finish the weekend with a memorial ride to the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial near Eagle's Nest.

Arriving into the state from the south can quickly lead you to the continental divide at Wolf Creek.  Careful though, weather can change drastically, even on Memorial Day.  In the case below, it is just the snow-pack left from a good winter.
